SF School Photoblogging

Here's a new feature for the sfschools blog: Friday photoblogging. First up, Everett Middle School.

The idea is to post one photo of a San Francisco school here every Friday. This idea isn't new, it dates back to the second post ever made here. But now, with the new school year, its time to go for it.

I'd like to make this a regular feature. If you or your kids want to contribute please contact me. I have a few photos queued up and ready to use in the coming weeks, but I'd like to make this a participatory, fun way to bring some attention to our schools.

I will be reluctant to use shots that prominently feature identifiable kids, unless the kid's parents give consent. For now I plan to use architectural shots like this week's. But good candids with kids are the best way to show off most schools.

i really think the photoblog is a great idea. i hope there is some focus too on schools that have great facilities improvement needs like the ones highlighted in the williams [aclu] lawsuit against the state of CA.
