I read that "Good Night Moon" languished unnoticed for 20 years after it was published (the author, an eccentric lesbian outsider, had a prolific output and had scored some successes). Then the someone at the New York Public Library system noticed this charming, obscure book and ordered a bunch of copies, and it took off. It was Oprah of 1970.
