I attended a briefing for a few hundred policy makers, grassroots parent and advocacy groups and researchers yesterday in downtown sf. the info dump was a little overwhelming and mind-numbing - but educators kathy emery and duane campbell, as well as the justice matters institute and the california budget project are trying to analyze the reports. there's lots of useful info there, but also lots of eduspeak in the reports that doesn't present anything new or useful.
