More hurdles for OUSD

A few weeks ago we wrote about a feeling of deja vu while reading about the ups and downs and the demographic dynamics of school renewal happening in Oakland's Rockridge neighborhood. Today the same school, Peralta Elementary, is in the news again. It looks like someone set fire to the school, and now the school community and the district are scrambling to recover. Wow. As if there aren't enough obstacles for an urban school to overcome. Good luck and godspeed to everyone involved.
