Another busy weekend on the SfSchools Calendar:
Friday, March 23
100% College Prep Musical Showcase

Bayview Opera House, 4705 3rd Street
On Friday, March 23 and Saturday, March 24, 100% College Prep will be mounting their annual big fundraiser-a Musical Showcase which will feature the talented students of 100% College Prep Institute at the Bayview Opera House, 4705 3rd Street.
The performances will be at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 23 and Saturday, March 24. A performance with an awards program will be at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 25. Admission is $13.
The 100% College Prep Institute works with students from the Bayview each week to help them graduate from high school and get into the college of their dreams.
Each week, the students work in study sessions, learn skills to increase their grades, go on trips to different colleges and explore different careers through internships. Many students have been able to leave the Bayview due to 100% College Prep Institute which is the work of Diane Gray and her cousin.
On Friday, Antwanisha Morgan, one of their seniors, was gunned down in front of the Bayview Hunters Point Community Center where she was a volunteer. A good student who was an inspiration to many in the 100% College Prep Institute, Nisha was trying to decide which college she would attend in the fall.
Nisha had a starring role in the Musical Showcase-and the 100% College Prep Club is dedicating this showcase in her memory.

ODC Youth Fest

Sponsored by the ODC Theater, the ODC School, and the Chitresh Das Dance Company, the Festival embraces authenticity and innovation with equal rigor and offers a rare cross-cultural, cross-disciplinary experience.

SFUSD DISTRICTWIDE PARENT CONFERENCES: The San Francisco Unified School District is hosting two districtwide Parent Conferences this year, in an effort to reach more parents. The first will be held Saturday, March 3, at Thurgood Marshall High School (45 Conkling St in the Bayview). Location for the Saturday, March 24, conference will be Roosevelt Middle School (460 Arguello St in the Richmond district). The conferences are designed to provide critical information to help families successfully partner with our schools for academic achievement.

Fun hands-on workshops introduce you to some of the tricks of the trade, and you can get a jump on summer educational, volunteer and job opportunities with a variety of local organizations at the resource fair.
