seems worth it to me.
have your kids hang with the "right" families, take the "right" classes, and ultimately, get into the "right" high school &/or college.
since the top 2% of our country own 51% of the wealth... those tuitions aren't that bad.
aristrocracy,man!!!
next time around, i am SO going to have rich parents...
Great comment -- did you say "right" families or "white" families?
Next time around I plan to BE a rich parent.
Gasp! How can middle-class parents with 2 or more kids afford tuition at these places? And even if I could afford to send my kids to an elite private school I probably wouldn't anyway. Why should they restrict their socializing to rich, white kids?
i guess that's why we should be thankful for the parents that get out there and work with the school districts to improve our choices!
caroline and i have opposite views on some issues ( charter schools for one !!!???!!...); however, she is one example of the thousands of volunteers trying to change the system & really make a difference!
oh.. i guess i meant " white", but preferably, the "right white" families..
sigh.
