Since its founding in 2000, many dedicated school stakeholders have gathered on sfschools@yahoogroups.com to advocate for better schools in San Francisco. The Yahoo group is great for engaging, moblizing, sharing information with a very motivated, diverse group of parents, educators, politicians, and reporters. If you like what you read here and you want to add your voice to our conversation, please join us.

FYI, My wife tells me that there was no problem dropping off our son's application at EPC yesterday. I'm sure the office will get a lot busier today and tomorrow, but looks like they are handling it well so far.
I missed the enrollment-are there any loopholes to be included in round one?
I have no recent experience with that. But I'm quite sure they'll accommodate you if you get it done first thing next week.
Many years ago we waited until the final day, also a Friday, and made our choices last minute. By evening we had massive 2nd thoughts / buyers regret / ... and suffered a stressful weekend waiting to talk to someone about changing our choices. My wife got there first thing on Monday. They made the change -- and all is well.
OTOH, that was in a different era when the EPC was not known for its efficiency, transparency, or access. They may run a tighter ship now. You should try to get it in ASAP.
