2008 BOE Candidates Published

Filing deadlines have come and gone, and now the SF Elections Deparment has
published the list of candidates. So who's running for BOE?
  • Harold Brown
  • James Calloway
  • Marigrace Cohen
  • Glenn Davis withdrew
  • Sandra Fewer
  • Omar Khalif
  • Alexander Young Lee
  • Barbara "Bobbi" Lopez
  • Jaynry Mak
  • Emily Murase
  • Rachel Norton
  • Kelly Wallace
  • Kimberly Wicoff
  • Jill Wynns
  • Norman Yee
Obviously, we will be hearing a lot more about this election and these candidates in the days ahead.

Would you please provide more info on who these people are and where they stand on issues that impact the SFUSD? I think this would be very helpful for incoming SFUSD parents. Thanks very much in advance.

Definitely. You can be sure we will provide in depth coverage of this election.

This year our coverage will be a little different since once of the candidates, Rachel Norton, is a contributor to this blog as well as a friend and ally. We will make every effort to provide all candidates with access to this audience, and provide more information about this race than you will find anywhere else.

But in the end we are in Rachel's camp.
